Since 2005, Yalari has been providing full boarding school scholarships to Indigenous children from remote and regional communities across Australia, offering access to secondary education at leading boarding schools.

With a 93% annual retention rate, Yalari’s success lies in the comprehensive wraparound support we provide every student. From dedicated Student Support Officers at each of our 20 partner schools, to academic tutoring, wellbeing and leadership programs, annual camps, and a strong focus on cultural connection — our students are supported every step of the way.

For students who show great potential but need additional academic preparation, our Yalari Ready program delivers a year of intensive literacy and numeracy support, helping to close the educational gap and build confidence ahead of their transition to boarding school.

Beyond high school, Yalari continues to walk alongside our graduates. We offer ongoing mentoring, opportunities for employment, further education, as well as Pathways Scholarships to support alumni pursuing tertiary study, easing the financial burden and encouraging continued success.

Today, Yalari is proud to have a growing network of nearly 600 alumni — educated, empowered young leaders who are giving back to their communities and driving generational change.
